Surprise! ^^
Internet has been sucky lately, keeping loosing connections at night. Stupid Sinktel going to start a net group complain soon.. haiz
Anyways! Some surprises for my birthday!
CUPCAKES!
SMS of the day: "Dear the delivery will come at about 1 - 2pm."
(I was still wondering what delivery it is.)
Then HEY PRESTO! Guess who's the lovely lady who delivered it? ^^ I am absolutely surprised and was even more delighted to see the cute little cupcakes! Really can't bear to eat them up hee.
Besides that, another really heavy present I got, entire series of "GET BACKERS" Anime! Cost Toast a bomb and was really a surprise for me as well. I love it! ^_^. This has been the best birthday ever! Thanks Baby!
For Valentine's day, we had our little very own BBQ session. Had a good lengthy talk through the night. It's fun yet romantic in a way which we both enjoyed. Although we seldom had such talks, but I do look forward to them when the chance arises. I love a good chit chat hee.
Things are taking some roller coaster rides in my life, ups and downs, in deep shit very quite frequently nowadays. But hey, it's me ya? I meet problems head on without moving an inch. Something about me, I don't see any problems too difficult to resolve, as long as I know there's something else worth fighting for.
Wedding stuffs are going quite smoothly, must be careful not to micro manage stuff. Last thing I want is to let all the wedding preps overwhelm what is supposed to be a happy event. It is our day, and if we let those preps ruined it, then what's the point right? It's good to take things on early, sort things out slowly, taking it at a relaxed pace makes the whole preparation process more enjoyable instead of vexing ;)
Anyways, this is going to be a big year for us. Looking forward to every mintue of it ^_^v

YEAR OF THE OX!

Moving Forward
Have you ever thought back and asked "what have I been doing for these xx years?" Yes I did. I recalled my childhood ambition, which was then - to be a lawyer. Why? coz a lawyer is cool, smart, stylo-milo, eloquent, rich and plays a part in justice. Anyway, guess I lacked the belief that I could ever make it....moreover back then, I sucked in speech, trembled in front of crowd, low self-confidence....gonna take miracle to fulfil that dream ha!
Today, I'm no high-flyer out there, but I'm contented (although I grumble at times heh). The past many years I had been searching for direction, was never happy with my job nor my life, but now, I'm happy (seriously) I'm grateful that I have good people around giving me opportunities and the much needed support. I cherish every moment that I'm having now. Yes I regretted. Thought I could live a better person in the past. Time files and now, I'm going to be 30 soon. As a child I couldn't wait to grow up and be as tall as the adults. Here I am, times wishing I could be a kid, be with my grandma. Everyone was around back then, now...some of them had left...wonder will I see them again when my time comes? When my grandma left, I was really sad and over-whelmed with anger. Anyway, to live this life, one must learn how to let go, if not, it's gonna be miserable.
Somehow certain things or characteristics change with time. I have overcome old fears ( of coz new ones come along.. there are things that I tend to be paranoid of hee), Confidence I have... well...enough for being who I am now. Still growing emotionally and spiritually, however there is a certain level of strength and faith built within me, at least I know I won't topple or crush easily. Past experience taught me if I hold my ground, I can overcome the failures and losses. What could be worse? Death? I'm not afraid of death. I'm just afraid I don't have enough time. The paradox is....we always feel we have too much time when we are kicking and alive...only to realise that every minute and seconds count when we are dying.
Moving forward, chinese new year is approaching. We should always be positive. Let's make today a memorable one and not something we will regret tomorrow. If you have a dream or a hope, do something to get it, you will get nothing just by sitting and waiting. Go for it! I love this quote: "Today is a present, tomorrow is a surprise."
Lastly, must maintain your body. feeling and looking good is important! Boost your confidence, it really helps what you wana accomplish in the near future. You don't need branded stuff ya....just spend more efforts on yourself and be happy.
Life is short! Live it up! And.....I don't want to be a lawyer liao...other than the "I can't qualify" portion,..well...I'm happy being a "peasant"...as for the richness...well...money can't buy. What more could I ask for when the future reveals wonderful things I have never asked for?

It's 2009! Happy New Year everyone!
Maybe it's time to insert interesting blog topics.....there had been some complaints that here is always talking about us...about our love declarations (?!) Hey...this is "Butter 4 Toast" site siahz
Anyway, this year should be interesting....full of uncertainties and surprises...plus an Ox year...slogging time!....bad financial year as forcasted....whatever....think it's good to suffer sometimes. Singaporeans are generally kinda spoilt. This year will also mean alot for me, my last year on single hood and my last "twenty-something" *sob*
Reality check here, some big boys in the market gonna fall.....retrenchment is still on the list..........bad debts ahead..............well.......reality sucks! Anyway, let's don't worry too much yah...what's meant to be..will be. I have decided to stop all the speculations and I hope everyone that I know will pull through this tough period....challenges are meant to mould a person for the better *wink*
I'm not worried at my workplace....in fact I'm feeling relief....there has been assurance that I should be there much much much longer than I thought after appraisal and updates from seniors heeee...but well nothing is guaranteed in life. Anyway...POSITIVE! :)
Can't believe CNY is approaching, still prefer it to be in Feb...more normal. I will be on leave during that period....1 week break from work. Yeah!
