Vietnam trip: I am Home!!!

I am back from Vietnam! Had a wonderful wonderful time and done lots of shopping (80% is for Toast ^^, dunno why everything i wan to buy is for her hehe). I'll leave it to her to post the loots hehe.

Pretty good team event we had, lotsa fun and laughter. Pictures speaks better so here goes.

To be honest, its a challenge even to think about driving in Vietnam. Has been that way for many many years already. Everytime I were there its like racing on a F1 track 24/7. Geeezz...

The Team

So Day 2 came along, team event, needa do some sort of a mission to locate the president. So of we went to the palace, look for clues and people, solve code words and run about like mad ppl! Its like Amazing race Vietnam!

Too much picts to upload so am not going to. However! The inside is pretty grand and posh hehe. Not all creepy. Moving on now

Went over to the Mueseum there after. Vietnam has been a war torn-ed country. And inside the gallery there's just tons of war picts reminding the world what they have went through during the war. And Anti-America mood is pretty high inside. Its quite emo to see the pictures of soldiers killing ppl and torturing normal cilvilians... Of which i shall not post becos is too bloody.. but then I shall post the below:

The "TIGER CAGE"
Used to imprison and torture Viet-kon soldiers, the things they do inside.... Below is a picture of whats going on inside, the person in the pict is a fake so dun scared.

Too much things to see, and trust me none of which is pretty. Aftre all I have seen for the entire afternoon.... it's very emotional. Okies Moving on.... other pictures I took.

Finally I am home now. Took a lonely lonely flight back in the morning. Reason of which is too much to say. Sum it up is becos of work.... Anyways I am glad to be back. Been missing Toast alot and my bed too. Later Toast's coming over for dinner! Happy! Heh.

Oh yes! Bonus! When I am back, the eggs in the balcony hatched!!! How cute is that??? So I got 2 more members in the house now haha. Okies Shall not carry on, I took like 500 pictures, but to upload those you might as well kill me.

Simply happy that there were people who appreciate Dem...the earrings I made were pretty simple (coz skills limited...learnt how to make them via online leh),,,Hmmm maybe I'm good with beads selection ba (??? if not the case....I can't think of a better reason how I managed to sell ya..)
Anyway...I like simplicity...so desu! heh

Was at company's roadshow this morning..left early coz the crowd was really lousy..and boss allowed me and another colleague to go off....and no need to attend on Sun as well! Soooooooooooo happy! I ended up at Jean Yip for 3.5 hrs hair treatments heh :P....

Was checking out movies online...Hmmm"The Kite Runner"...a movie seems like showing only at Cathay Orchard (http://www.kiterunnermovie.com/) .....read that book before...nice! but very touching and sad story...made me cry manz!....other good books to read - The Alchemist and For One More Day....I got read books one hor...dun play play...anyway...book is usually better than the movie..just like Da Vincci and Memoirs of Geisha etc

Butter in Vietnam now....miss him!..weekends without him kinda odd....

"How do you sell ice to an Eskimo?" asked by my ex director. I was sitting beside him in an interview for Marketing Personnel. That??!!! surprised look on his face when struck with such a question...made me wana giggle.
"Don't worry....there's no right or wrong answer....just share with us HOW (?)" He would prompt the interviewee. Again I would be sitting there quietly...wondering what exactly the answer he wanted to hear.

Never got the answer...he never told me. He just accepted whatever was put across the table. Perhaps he just wana test them....or simply..a trick question??

Yupz...this question has been popping in mind lately.....why? coz I have met 5 Eskimo during my consult...and I actually managed to close the 5th Eskimo.....tough manz....How? Somehow just figured out myself.... ehhh that's my trade secret :P...but for sure...you need to embrace the facts and the limitations.

Sometimes I can't believe what I'm doing for a living now..a consultant...a job I always wanted (perhaps "used to" is a more appropriate term) ...manz! And this job is eating into me...challenging my limits...Kinda brain dead almost every night when I got home...and simply concuss once I got onto bed..Yah..I'm burnt!

(Went for my run last Wed....felt burning good heh.)

And YESH!...I'm working now..in office....super hungry...waiting for colleague to da bao back..feeling kinda tired...later still need to go for roadshow siahz!...ends at 10pm tonight...and best you know what????...need to be at roadshow for tomorrow and Sun as well...and Mon we having advertorial..haiz

haiz...Butter going Vietnam tomorrow....and can't believe I gotta spend my weekends burning away for work.....Supposedly going for my facial and hair treatment de lor!

Was viewing at a star thru telescope at Butter's place last night. Soooo tiny..you gotta adjust the telescope to keep the star in view (lose it in seconds)...and it kinda hit you "oh ya! earth is always rotating"

Went to watch Ah Long Pte Ltd just now. Quite entertaining and funny. Thumbs up for Fann and Mark! I like Fann, she can act la and very pretty..love her complexion

Quite busy for both Butter and I in the past few days....from CNY day 1 till today, been going to few places to Bai Nian...to my place, to his place, to colleague's place, to friend's place etc hee..The best visit was..of cos! at Butter's...hehehehe...lotsa hongbao keke..good value :P

At Butter's colleague's house this afternoon....Choa Chu Kang! Been a long time since I took a super long MRT ride siahz! But I did enjoy myself much...especially the Tom Yam and Stingray for Dinner...but ganna tummy ache later heh...

Yesterday was fun!...at ex colleague's place, Vincent (crappy and haiz "dunno what to say" as usual) Once again, Uncle Yong won all our money in Dai Di *sob* Met up with Shirley and Ping Ping for KTV at Shenton Party World followed by supper at Bedok 85 (enjoyed the talk and KPOing hehe :P)
