X'mas Eve 24 Dec 2008

Had our X'mas dinner at the Hill Restaurant (Jurong Bird Park area), Teppanyaki! Butter ordered King Prawns, Teriyaki Chicken, Deer Meet, Soft Shell Crab, Asparagus! :). Food was not bad...dunno what to say of the service....it's good but think kinda over-proactive ba. Tea was refilled after one sip, plate was cleared immediately after the last pc...got that feel of "quickly finish your food and get out" siahz.

I should say it's more for the view at that restaurant. Nice and breezy...in fact chilly last night heh. Anyway, it's a drive-up place. Without car can be much inconvenient especially on a rainy day. Both Butter and I almosted ended up drenched while waiting for our called cab...luckily we found one unwanted huge umbrella which was the home for spiders and ants....gosh!)

Anyhow, we enjoyed the dinner much. It was nice and pretty romantic hehe. Ended the day at Great world StarBucks. No countdown nor party, guess we have well passed that stage. Present? me no x'mas present wor *sob* heh.

We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversay on 1st Jan'2009...that will be the day worth counting down and looking forward too! plus my presents!!! :P

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!

It's the time of the year! Celebrating and Giving! Doesn't matter who you are or what you believe.
Year 2008 is closing soon. This year flies with many happenings and changes. A year filled with tears, worries, surprises and joys. Those lost could never be brought back, constant reminders to move forward and always treasure the present.
Perhaps life is about "present". Present is Today which is Now, and Today is a Gift, Tomorrow is a Wish (coz tomorrow doesn't always come by) Hence People, we should celebrate everyday!!!
My new year resolutions will be:
1. To live my life to the fullest
2. To be at my very best (Grooming is of coz included hehe)
3. To give my very best
4. To bring joy and laughter to those around ( This I may have to try harder)
5. To engage in Community Work (Wana contribute my time rather than just donating money)
6. To be a better girlfriend and buddy to Butter
7. To be a much much better daughter and sister
8. Lastly, think this is more of a wish. To be a beautiful bride.
Hope this time round, I'm gonna fulfil all of the above.
Here I wish everyone a very happy x'mas and a great year ahead! despite of the "gloomy weather". I always believe a strong spirit can overcome all circumstances.
Cheers!
Toast to 2008

Movie Reviews: Zack and Miri makes a Porno

Lifelong platonic friends Zack and Miri look to solve their respective cash-flow problems by making an adult film together. As the cameras roll, however, the duo begin to sense that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought.
Butter's Review:
This is actually pretty neat, although not much plot can be expected. It's not exactly a "funny" movie, nothing special nothing spectacular. However it does leaves a warm and fuzzy moment.
I give it 3 BUTTERS

Movie Reviews: Quarantine

Television reporter Angela Vidal and her cameraman are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles Fire Station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams coming from one of the apartment units. They soon learn that a woman living in the building has been infected by something unknown. After a few of the residents are viciously attacked, they try to escape with the news crew in tow, only to find that the CDC has quarantined the building. Phones, internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew’s videotape
Butter's Review:
One would be expecting another Blair Witch Project style for this movie. Well... it's somewhat the same but then again somewhat different. Open end movie leaves me all weird and funny after the show. Can't explain it..
I give it 3 BUTTERS

Movie Reviews: Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa

Alex, Marty, Melman, Gloria, King Julien, Maurice and the penguins and the chimps find themselves marooned on the distant shores of Madagascar. In the face of this obstacle, the New Yorkers have hatched a plan so crazy it just might work. With military precision, the penguins have repaired an old crashed plane--sort of. Once aloft, this unlikely crew stays airborne just long enough to make it to the wildest place of all--the vast plains of Africa, where the members of our zoo-raised crew encounter species of their own kind for the very first time. Africa seems like a great place...but is it better than their Central Park home?

Butter's Review:

Abosolutely amazing as with the 1st, somehow they always managed to have some real life scenario mixed in between these animations. Cute like before and lots of crdue jokes. Amazing way to destress during the festive season.

I give it 4 BUTTERS

Movie Reviews: Body of Lies

Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a covert CIA operative working in Jordan searching for terrorists who have been bombing civilian targets. Ferris uncovers information on the Islamist mastermind Al-Saleem (Alon Aboutboul). He devises a plan to infiltrate Al-Saleem's terrorist network with the help of his boss back in Langley, Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe). Ferris enlists the help of the Chief of Jordanian Intelligence, Hani Salaam (Mark Strong) on this operation, but he doesn't know how far he can trust him without putting his life in danger. The uneasy alliance leads to a cultural and moral clash between the men.

Butter's Review:

Visually stunning and captivating plot, DiCaprio and Crowe fully covers the characters' feel. Special note to Mark Strong for his role as Hani. Aboslutely worth a watch and have a DVD kept at home.

I give it a full rating.
