New HP!

Toast:

HTC_Touch _P3450! The older model without 3G. Initially wanted to get HTC Diamond....but after seeing the real thing...dun like the design and the feel of the phone....somemore gotta pay almost $350 after $100 Starhub Voucher (Called Starhub few days ago for freebie before recontract with a "if you don't give me ...I go Singtel" attitude) and Trade In. For this model, I only paid an addition of $98 ....moreover, I dun need the 3G function.

Lighter and slimmer compared to Diamond...c/w 1GB card, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Feel kinda IT savvy holding it hiakz. Also find it quite user friendly although this is my first using a touch phone :)...ya am mountain tortoise when comes to gadgets.....eh...but I know about i-phone k. There are many functions to the phone which I'm still figuring out.....will familiarise with the basics first.....it's so cool wor!

A bz weekend...first of all...."Thank you Steve!" for lending his precious car to Butter. Told you...he's a good man heh :P

Was at Butter's family day at Sentosa on Sat. Made a trip yo Merlion....took a few pics....then it rained....Anyway...it was quite boring there.....but Butter had been reallie sweet. Went to catch the movie 4bia at Vivo 12.30am. Good movie and pretty scary for both of us. As I was feeling pretty cold, used a towel (which Butter brought to Sentosa) to cover up in the cinema...and the next moment, was sharing with Butter....and in the end...both of us hid our face behind it...that was just how eerie the movie was heh.

Got home at around 3.30am and woke up 8.30am this morning, gotta attend a function invited by Christina which she shared inspiring moment with us. She is truly someone to be admired of and I'm one of the lucky ones to be her friend.

And thanks dear for accompanying me this morning....know that you are tired and you still get out of bed without complaints. Love you! You are the best! *muackz*

No Stress!

Been receiving lotsa comments on my weight lately. Stress??? Nah....Never been better.

So how did I lose that kgs? Hmmmm....perhaps the correct question to ask is ~ How did I put on so much weight initially?

Somehow gotta agree that the difference seems great (check out the pics of me in Jan-March and you will know why). Think I started to put on weight in July 2007 ...thanks to the snacks, irregular food intake, lack of sleep and over-sitting at work heh. Hence, I was in the wrong size last year and had big problem fitting into 98% of my clothes *sob* Imagine from S to L?! Additional fats plus my height seriously made me huge siahz..and Gosh!! My face was damn round! No wonder Louise gave me that unbelievable look just before 2008 Chinese New Year..and I would never forget that comment "you look pregnant" Shucks. For once, I had a hard time looking for new year clothes...everything simply looked odd on me....kinda frustrating...

Anyway, I'm so so so so glad that I'm more or less back to my norm now....supposed to be much skinnier...but think now ok la...at least the tummy is gone liao heh. And the best thing is, I can fit into all my old clothes (especially jeans) again! No sweat!

So what's the secret to my weight loss? No secret siahz...Didn't sign up for slimming package...I don't even jog nowadays....I simply go back to normal lifestyle now ~ regular meals, no snacks, lotsa water and at least 8 hours of sleep everyday. Compared to last year which I slept less than 6 hours, odd eating hours (gobbled down food most of the time), lotsa snacks (was even joking with colleagues then that we kept ants as pets...so many of dem at the counter!) and too much sitting at work (9 out of 10 hours were spent sitting).

So those who were surprised seeing me now....I should say they were not as surprised as those who saw me plump.

BBQ Gathering - Gummy's Birthday

Toast:

Happy Birthday Gummy! Really nice to have friends remembering and celebrating birthday together. Still remember that pact with college friends - to hold gathering for everyone's birthday so that we can still catch up...well....think on my side, probably will see most of us at weddings and funerals...

I envy Butter...he has great buddies! As for me...I have friends...but sometimes I wonder if something ever happens to me....who will be that few gonna turn up and stand by me. Perhaps, I have not been a really great friend to others myself. So I hereby concluded that I must try harder to hold and treasure those friendship worth keeping. True friendship is indeed valuable.

Here are some nice pics from last nite BBQ at East Coast. We got a private pit at a strategic location without booking. Steady manz! And it was a nice and breezy night.....plus a full moon heh

That's how you bbq when you don't book a pit.
Don't be deceived by the size...quite powerful de wor. Somemore a convenient and disposable way heh

That's my baby *muackz*

Men at work

Hmmn...see that hand blocking face guy in the above 2 pics? Well....can understand why he did so hehe ( "You know I'm kidding right? :P)
Without him, I won't get to know Butter. Although hmmmm...he kinda this and that...and what what what.....A great friend of Butter's. He's good guy la *wink*

*Ahem* the pretty ladies. Both from St Anthony's heh

As for him, he was still in that "Common Topic" during the last BBQ.

Now you see...he's out from the topic for good. Anyway, really happy for him. Hope to see the the plus headcount ( from someone, a lady pls hehe) in the next gathering

The food! Hotdogs and Sausages! Long, short, fat etc...different flavours and colors! Also have bananas. Kinky!!!

Getting dem heated up........

And there you go....ready to eat. Shucks! I dun sound very right here.....Alrightz! enuff of sausages!

Here are some other food heh..pretty limited ya...so quite obvious what we were having the whole night haha

The perfect homemaker. She been cooking for us the whole night. Lucky Gummy.

We spent the rest of the night chatting and playing cards. Was the dealer of the night! They bullied me :(

Nevertheless, it was a fun night! And I didn't fell asleep in the car hehe.

Movie Reviews: Midnight Meat Train

A photographer propelled to explore his dark side begins tracking a subway serial killer whose brutal butchery makes for the most nightmarish images ever captured on camera in director Ryuhei Kitamura's adaptation of a short story by horror heavyweight Clive Barker. Leon Kaufman (Bradley Cooper) is just another struggling photographer in search of the perfect subject. Encouraged to explore the sinister side of humanity by a prominent art gallery proprietor (Brooke Shields) who is set to display his upcoming debut, Leon goes against the wishes of his girlfriend, Maya (Leslie Bibb), and begins stalking notorious serial killer Mahogany (Vinnie Jones) -- whose sadistic murder spree has been making headlines all across the country. As Leon's fascination with Mahogany gradually grows into obsession, his descent into the killer's putrid world of murder begins to corrupt his soul while simultaneously dragging his concerned girlfriend down a perverse path of darkness from which there is no return.
Butter's Review:
o.0.... absolutely gruesome... you like blood and painful tortures?? This is the movie for you then.

Table Tennis or Ping Pong?!

NB VS NIKE

Toast:

Went to play Table Tennis with Butter at Tampines Sports Hall yesterday afternoon. A previous school team player with a *ahem* first-timer. That was my first time....honored to give it to a Pro hehehehe *naughty wink*

Kinda freak out at the hall...everyone was like seasoned players and pretty serious in the game....I play play only wor....

Butter was really patient with me...from teaching me how to hold the bat proper to hitting the ball. And sorriz Dear..my ball flew all over the place!

Eh...thought I played not bad la...was quite in control at some point of time...but still...kept Butter busy picking ball :P Thought he was kinda sianz playing with me...no kick...and no chance to show off his power shots heh.

But still, I enjoyed myself much! Probably next weekend, we will go cycling :)

Cool & Sporty Butter. Look so Fit! *Muackz*

So why is Table Tennis called Ping Pong?
Got this answer from Yahoo! Answers

"They are two different games.

Table tennis you serve the ball first so it first lands on your side of the net then it must bounce on the your opponents side of the net. The return must be only hit back to the opposition side.

However in Ping Pong you serve the same way, but the return must also land on your own side as well as the oppositions. So in effect you must double bounce the ball.

People often confuse the two games whilst very similar, they are in fact different!"

Movie Reviews: Journey to the Center of the Earth

While backpacking across Iceland with his nephew Sean, the two explorers find a cave that leads them deep down into the bowels of the planet. And so they go on a quest to find out what has happened to the scientist's missing brother, a scientist, his nephew and their mountain guide discovers a fantastic and dangerous lost world in the center of the earth. There they discover a bizarre landscape filled with terrifying creatures.

Butter's Review:

The endings abit short and rushed, however it's an excellent movie. Lots of special effects and CGs. Plot's pretty good too. Too bad I would have prefer more sences on the alien world though.

I give it 4 BUTTERS. Also available in 3D max.

Class gathering?!

....Nah...that was not even half the class size.

Date: 06 August 2008

Venue: Shokudo @ Raffles City (my 2nd and the last time there)

Attendees: Chris, Shirley Toh, Shirley Yek, Huiling (+ hubby Roy), Binli, Sijie (+ gf Joyce), Sheldon, Ruilong, Joe, and of coz...Butter & Toast!

Nice gathering. Reminded me of the good old days in college heh. Both Binli and Huiling are now mothers ! (These two..baby's first month never invite) Happy to see Joe...felt like I have not seen him for many years...he looked good heh.
Seem like just yesterday that we were still hanging out in our nice green TPJC uniforms! From the National Day Play Competition (which we came in 2nd)....to the Psychedelic War (which we came in first)....to the Health and Fitness Aerobics Dance Competition (ermm 1st or 2nd? can't remember)....to the Volleyball Match (1st!)...also the Hockey Match (2nd!)...so many activities we took part together as a team. And not forgetting....the famous chocolate incident! haha. Anyway at the end of the day...almost everyone went to Uni except me *sob*...blamed myself for skipping lectures and spending too much time at the canteen. On the bright side, it wasn't too bad to start work few years earlier than others...experience counts manz!
Used to party like 3 times a week. Wed Mambo at Zouk, Fri and Sat usually at Boat Quay / Mhd Sultan. Should say Double O was the number 1 spot then coz people like Chris, Jiaying, Shirley and myself were there almost every weekend. Those were the days! So happening and fun! :P
Ok back to the gathering...actually it was meant to be a dinner with Chris. My heart goes out for her and I have to say that she is one lady I admire much. A reminder that life is more than dollars and cents whenever I think of her. Chris, please get well soon!
Before I end this blog, wana say that time flies and life is short..we never know what's gonna happen tomorrow....I'm guilty of taking things for granted....so let's remind ourselves here to treasure what we have and the people around us...live it to the fullest!....and not forgetting to be at our best everyday!

Movie Reviews: Money No Enough 2

"Money No Enough 2", directed by Jack Neo, premiered on Monday at Golden Village, VivoCity. The film stars Jack Neo, Mark Lee, Henry Thia as three brothers.
There are extensive computer—generated scenes, including the upcoming Formula One race and a dig at Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) gantries.
Jack Neo hopes the use of computer graphics will not only encourage the local film industry to use high—tech production techniques, but also add more dimension to the story and increase its appeal to a global audience.
Butter's Review:
Good flim, always a good reflection of voices from the common people. The flim only Singaporeans and PRs will know... haizz, anyways is a good flim.
