My new Hairstyle!

(just being boliao heh)

Hehe.....That's my new hair style. Auntie or whatsoever...guess it gonna stick with me for the next few months.

Wanted to rebond but coz my hair is naturally curled and frizzy...so well the hairdresser suggested the perm. I did a perm before at Jean Yip....was really ugly partly my length was much shorter back then....so that was really bad...ended up straightening it 3 weeks later....followed by a hair cut due to the damaged hair.

Was quite hesitant initially due to the past experience and plus no intention to color my hair...anyway dun really wish to go back 4 months later again to rebond hair. Hopefully in the long run, the curls will become softer and more natural...

So far..the perm is still acceptable heh.

As for my gum...it's healing....in fact, back to my norm on Sun...can eat and talk...even brushed my teeth heh. But think I will still freak out for my next tooth extraction in the future.

Lastly, I'm on leave! going back to work on Thur. Shiok staying home and grooving to the playlist. Envy me!

Ah Girl's 1st head raise!

The Wisdom Tooth Extraction 27/09/08

Was late 10 mins (went to buy 4D heh) and the first thing the Dental Surgeon said to me: "thought you chicken out" (Manz!.....honestly, had the intention to do so..but I need to get it extracted soooner or later...moreover...that tooth was kinda decaying......dun wanna ended up extracting the other tooth next to it)

Was really nervous lying there. In my mind "Can't believe that I'm doing this! The anesthetic better work siahz"

The reassurance of the Surgeon only worked after the injection. I should say the injection was less than an ant bite...in fact it was painless. He put on some cream before the injection. The next minute, I could feel the anesthetic working. Had that painless swelling feel on the right half of my tongue, right gum and right cheek...like half of my face was swelling. The injection was power! If not wrong, it was injected on the gum where the nerves were.

"Ok, I'm going to start with the extraction now." said the surgeon.

Gave a weak nod. In my mind "You better make sure I dun feel any pain huh.............shucks!"

Ermmm I duno know what he actually did in the next minutes..had my eyes shut. He did mention some stuff like "you will feel some impact" you will feel some pressure" etc etc....didn't feel a single pain..only heard the sound of the tools and at some point, like almost choked on my own blood. The next moment felt threads on my mouth...so fast he was stitching up the gum liao. Then asked me to bite the cotton piece. "Huh...ok liao?!"

The whole procedure took like less than 15 mins

Was really happy then. The whole bill was S$500 over inclusive of medication (Antibiotics & Painkillers plus the cotton)

I changed the cotton one hr later...was really bloody. Went to see mirror, the operated gum looked quite gross....there was a super dark red patch there...and looked like a hole. Happy that I didn't feel any pain.

Then 1 hour later......shucks...the anesthetic started to wear off....and when the complete pain came....it got abit unbearable and kinda triggered headache siahz....went to bed and had a hard time getting to sleep...somehow I fell asleep...and when I woke up...the pain greatly subsided. I drank Porridge for the rest of the day....As instructed, kept swollowing the saliva cum blood (Avoid spitting and rinsing in the first 24 hrs)

Went to bed last night without brushing my teeth. Surprisingly, slept really well. My mouth got a really odd taste when I woke up this morning....and my breath kinda stink! The first thing I did after removing the cotton was to rinse my mouth....no pain heh. The wound seemed much better...my teeth looked pretty clean too (alltough didn't brush)...and my gum quite pink and healthy....hehe..happy happy. But the wound is still bleeding with cotton still there. Hopefully it will stop by tomorrow.

The next thing I'm worried now is....will it be painful to remove the stitches next fri...

Very hungryz now....craving for maggie mee....dun care...going to cook later.....

Another night out

Toast:

I be going for wisdom tooth extraction in less than 2 hours. Shucks!
Heard about the injection, the blood, the pain and not able to eat proper for days (lucky I had a good dinner last night. Jins Deli Steamboat @ Bugis near Tian Tian Huo Guo with friends and Butter, ate until Diarrhoea heh). Also heard about those steady ones - "no scared, ant bite only!" and another "went to eat Yoshinoya 1 hour later"...win liaoz! ermmm....reallie meh?

Enjoyed myself at Top One KTV Bugis Point with Qing Xing, Shirley and Ping (of cos! plus Butter!) First time there, room pretty crampy but the system was good! thought I sounded power wor! hehe. In addition free flow of drinks and 4 hours of room. Each person about S$ 32 based on Fri night rate.

Will be having it done at Lee & Lee...Lucky I can claim full from company! Company very good! heh After claiming still left with few hundred health dollars....should be able to last me till next year ba. Movie Reviews: Mamma Mia!

Set on a colorful Greek island, the plot serves as a background for a wealth of great ABBA songs which are used in remarkably appropriate ways. A young woman about to be married discovers that any one of three men could be her father. She invites all three to the wedding without telling her mother, Donna, who was once the lead singer of Donna and the Dynamos. In the meantime, Donna has invited her backup singers, Rosie and Tanya.

Butter's Review:

A very joyous musical and loads of good bits. Quite heart warming as well. Feeling down? This is the perfect show to lighten up your gloomy day.

I give it 4 BUTTERS

Movie Reviews: Step Brothers

Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) is a thirty-nine-year-old who has never left home and lives with his divorced mother, Nancy Huff (Mary Steenburgen). Dale Doback (John C. Reilly) is a forty-year-old who also has never left home and lives with his widower father, Dr. Robert Doback (Richard Jenkins). Both of them are unemployed and have been living off the goodness of their parents their whole lives. Nancy meets Robert; they fall in love, marry, and move into Robert's home. The two sons are forced to live together in the same room as step brothers. Brennan and Dale initially hate each other, but find out that they are not too different. They are like 12-year-olds trapped in adult bodies who haven't grown up and live in their own little worlds. They become best friends, and then their parents decide to kick them out, because they are getting a divorce. They set up job interviews, but to no avail. Their lives are about to change, and they must grow up.

Butter's Review:

Pretty Hilarious. Good way to ease up after a hard day at work. Apart from that, everything else on the movie side is only... so-so

I give it 3 BUTTERS.

Movie Reviews: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

As the Clone Wars sweep through the galaxy, the heroic Jedi Knights struggle to maintain order and restore peace. More and more systems are falling prey to the forces of the dark side as the Galactic Republic slips further and further under the sway of the Separatists and their never-ending droid army. Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan learner Ahsoka Tano find themselves on a mission with far-reaching consequences, one that brings them face-to-face with crime lord Jabba the Hutt. But Count Dooku and his sinister agents, including the nefarious Asajj Ventress, will stop at nothing to ensure that Anakin and Ahsoka fail at their quest. Meanwhile, on the front lines of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Master Yoda lead the massive clone army in a valiant effort to resist the forces of the dark side ...

Butter's Review:

This is the missing link between The Attack of the Clones & the Revenge of the Sith. Pretty much actions can be expected, but it'll never beat them real person in acting. Story's not as twisting as all the Star Wars movies.

As a 20 years Star Wars Fan, I give it 3 BUTTERS.

Movie Reviews: WALL.E

After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, Wall-E discovers a new purpose in life when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that Wall-E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans. Joining WALL-E on his fantastic journey across a universe of never-before-imagined visions of the future is a hilarious cast of characters including a pet cockroach, and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots.

Butter's Review:

Watched this in I-Werks at the Singapore Discover Center. With a 3 Storey screen, it totally brings out the colours of this movie. Everything is picture told, not much talking which makes it interesting, captivating and absolutely astonishing.

I give it 4 BUTTERS WITH A PLUS!

Alot of actions, however typical plot. But Charlie Young acted in this and as always, she nails it. Nicolas Cage as well, always a fan. Ending's abit head scratching though.

Toast:

I know. It's been a while since I blog. Was very busy last weekend and feeling very tired lately.

___________________________________________________________________

Keep Bleeding.....Keep keep bleeding heh. "Bleeding Love"...to those who are suffering in love...those who find pain..If love is so easy, there wun be so many sad songs out there rite? I say "Toast!" to all the lovers out there...to the heartbrokens.....and to the ones who can't be with the ones they wish to be.

____________________________________________________

Anyway, last weekend I attended 2 weddings. One on Sat, wedding lunch at M hotel. And the other one on Sun which I got to be the Jie meiz, the dinner was at M Hotel too! Seem there are more weddings to come gosh! Not easy planning wedding yah....lotsa planning, preparation and coordination...believe there could be a point of frustration especially when things are not well planned or perhaps...time is not on your side.

For TMer wedding, pretty fun but yet tiring (I woke up at 4.30am in the morning and all the way till night siahz) By the way, wore the pretty dresses bought by Butter heh. The pics were all taken by TMer's photographer, so hope she wun forget to pass me when ready. As usual, there were people wondering how I managed to put on and lost so much weight in such a short period. Think I'm still losing weight....shucks....and my wisdom tooth just dun help me to maintain existing.

Scheduled to have my wisdom tooth extracted on 27th Sept 08. Damn scared siahz. But I need to have it out....it's rotting already. So why it's called wisdom tooth leh? Ask me....ask me....hehe

Butter:

Oh watched Wall-E at I-werks too, hee, massive 3 storey screen is just awesome. Some pictures. (I cannot publish any pictures of the kids to protect their identity.)

Then did some shooting at Raffles place while waiting for Toast to off work. Hee. I want to capture some "feel" but somehow is not very good yet =/. Need more practice and photo outing hee. Anyways here you go.

Pungol Breeze Here we come!

Butter:

Yay! We got a good Que number from the ballot for Build To Order project!
Pungol Breeze!

It's not built yet but this is going to be the perfect apartment for Toast and I =D. To me, I think I will die die pick an unit from this estate. Sea-view (hopefully can get those unit), premium units, designed etc etc etc... it is just PERFECT!

778 units, we got qued at 195 =D nice~~~

I personally felt we came a long way to this very day. It was such a torture actually. We spent 2 gruling months of re-sale viewing, studying loans, rules, regulations, pros & cons, discussions, seminars etc etc etc before finally settling for applying this estate units. Once we decided, it's actually do or die kinda of attitude. We totally stopped everything else and pinned all our hopes on this, because deep inside we felt this is the place we want, and this is the place we will be.

So don't laugh at me when I say we done our homework, because we really do, and this is really well planned, and I am proud of it. For those 1st timer looking at new housing, (yes Especially you GUMMY!) you can call us up we can teach you abit or two hee.

But then, I think if one were to do their own homework (including you again Gummy), it would be better as you know what you are commiting to and the result will be more satisfying. Trust me it is. =D
